China-Japan love hate in Chengdu

Anyone who is following China knows about the love-hate relationship between China and Japan. An interesting story from Chengdu.
The Japanese superstore Ito-Yokado was opening a branch in Chengdu. By coincidence, it was September, the month in 1931 when Japan attacked China. Most of the people did not notice it. But the competition - a local superstore in a bid to dampen the sales at Ito-Yakado went around the town putting up posters featuring Japanese wartime atrocities. The poster urged people to protest in front of the store.
On the appointed day, a small group gathered outside the Ito-Yokado store shouting slogans. The people passing by joined the protest. After a while the group dispersed. Some of the demonstrators forgot their anti-Japan feeling and went shopping at Ito-Yakado. The store in order to counter the protest had announced a tempting discount sale.

Chinese poeple should respect Japan, and they should learn from Japan, for it is Japan they are jealous off because they are better than them.
Oh sure blame the Japanese for stealing their language, but how about this, in order to even out the bargin, why not borrow Japanese' tidy and clean tradtions, bring back the Japanese bow in Chinese cultures, have good hygene, and improve the country overall?
Its easy for South Korea to do so, why not China?
China needs to grow up.The reason why China hates Japan is not only caused by the past "War against the Chinese Communists" but because Japan is rich and more politically powerful.Japan leads Asia as the Industrial power and as the technological superpower.Chinese envy Japan's riches.Chinese also view themselves as the greatest of the Asians.Japan is just a harsh reality for China,the fact that the nation of island dwarves (chinese called them this before) has surpassed them.Grow Up CHINA!
I don't think chinese necessarily hate japan, this whole hating thing has only gone on because of the communist propaganda when jiang came into power. it wasn't always like this.
and yea I do agree that china is a little jealous of japan. I mean, I think it's the fact that japan caused a lot of damage to china during the war, I mean world war II really set china back in economics and practically everything, and that probably pisses a few chinese ppl off. I think china could learn some things from japan, just as japan had learned things from china before.
politically more powerful? I don't think japan is more politically powerful, I don't hear much about japan being involved in world politics, but economically and technologically, definitely.
I can tell you most Chinese feel no jealous of other people who are really nice and smart. China only does not like people who killed, raped, robbed and did not confess all its crimes in their hearts as they are still keeping the Right winged government with important officals in the government who still carry world war 2 minds to invade China and control the world. These right winged people still exist in Japan in most important government agencies and companies and are ready to become militarised country anytime if USA becomes loose on it. Can Western country accept German Nazism-minded people to rule Germany? pretend to say sorry to Jews and world but worship war criminals everyday? stock up money and technology and nuclear waste as reserves and second strongest navy and be ready to militarise at any time and pretend to be nice to most countries except insulting Jews all the time? I think Japan should learn from Germany and USA to be a real nice country which truly apologizes to the world which it invaded and insulted. But not pretending to be nice to Western countries but at the same time setting up the government with the world war 2 people that will again turn it into another war. China should learn more about the world. The world should also learn more about Japan. If USA is going to be destroyed, it will ONLY and ONLY be Japan, not from Russia or China. Understand?
