Street side political talks, Guiyang, Guizhou

By the river in Guizhou are these wonderful food stalls. I made friends with the vendors here. They were keen on talking politics. The subject of the evening was Mr. Bush. Couple of other guys joined it. All in all it was a time well spent.

Nice little squares of fried bean curd were to be had here.

The downtown area around the river is nice. There is a teahouse in a little island.

The same bridge at night (from the other side)

Guiyang , a birds eye view. Beyond the buildings you can see the conical hills.

Street performers are active below the Chairman Mao statue.

The market by the river. Shops here sell medicinal herbs, pets and other odds and ends

Another view of the market. You can see the Mao statue with the raised arm.

Another view of the river.
