A return to Malaka

I spent a day in Malacca, a historical town by the peninsular Malaysian west coast. It is a friendly town with some good food, interesting narrow lanes and tales of intrigue. Chinese sailor Zheng He came here in the 1400s and set up a small Chinese settlement. The Achenese, the Portuguese, the Dutch and the English all fought for its control. The city shows this mixed influence.
